Pricing FAQ

Find answers to common questions about Hong Kong company registration pricing.

What does the HK$6,800 all-in package include?
The HK$6,800 all-in package covers everything you need: Government fees HK$3,895 (Companies Registry HK$1,545 + Business Registration Certificate HK$2,350 incl. HK$150 Insolvency Fund Levy effective 2026-04-01) + PAT CPA service fee HK$2,000 (name search, NNC1 + articles of association preparation, electronic filing, first-year company secretary, statutory registers + SCR) + Company chops & green box HK$600 + Disbursements HK$305 (certified true copies, M&A printing). All fees are itemised on the quotation — no hidden charges. See the full government-fee table above.
Why do electronic filing (HK$6,800) and paper filing (HK$6,800) have the same total? Which should I choose?
Both routes have the same all-in price of HK$6,800, but different fee allocation: Electronic Filing (1 business day) — Companies Registry HK$1,545 + BR HK$2,350 + service HK$2,000 + chops/green box HK$600 + disbursements HK$305. Paper Filing (7 business days) — Companies Registry HK$1,720 + BR HK$2,350 + service HK$2,000 + chops/green box HK$600 + disbursements HK$130. We recommend Electronic Filing for all clients — it is faster and supports remote AMLO video CDD for overseas directors/shareholders.
Are there any hidden fees? When are extra charges applied?
No hidden fees. The HK$6,800 quote is firm under our standard scope: 1 director + 1 shareholder (same person) + 1 registered office (provided by PAT CPA). Additional charges apply only in these clearly disclosed scenarios: 1. Extra directors/shareholders or external registered address — HK$200 each. 2. Overseas AMLO video CDD — HK$500 per person, charged at engagement-manager discretion if the client resides overseas and requires CDD by video call. 3. Government fees are charged as actually paid, including the HK$150 Insolvency Fund Levy effective 2026-04-01 per the 2026-27 Hong Kong Budget. These terms are stated upfront in your engagement letter.
What are the 2026 government fee changes? Why is the BR fee HK$2,350?
From 1 April 2026, the Business Registration fee is HK$2,350 for a 1-year certificate (3-year: HK$6,170), which includes the reinstated HK$150 Protection of Wages on Insolvency Fund levy announced in the 2026-27 Hong Kong Budget. The Companies Registry filing fees remain unchanged: electronic incorporation HK$1,545, paper incorporation HK$1,720. Our HK$6,800 all-in package already reflects the new BR fee — no further adjustment will be passed on to clients.
How much is the video AMLO customer due diligence (CDD) fee? Who needs it?
AMLO Customer Due Diligence (CDD) video conference is an additional service for clients who reside overseas and cannot attend in person. Fee: HK$500 per person (charged at engagement-manager discretion). The standard HK$6,800 all-in service fee does not include video CDD. Most overseas clients require this for at least 1 director — please discuss with us in advance so we can confirm the all-in figure.
For overseas shareholders/directors registering a Hong Kong company, is the all-in fee different?
For overseas shareholders/directors, the base HK$6,800 all-in package remains the same. The typical add-ons are: HK$500/person AMLO video CDD and HK$200 per additional director/shareholder beyond the standard scope (1 director + 1 shareholder same person + 1 registered office). Document courier (DHL/FedEx) to your overseas address is charged at cost (~HK$200-400 depending on destination). We provide a transparent itemised quote before engagement.
What are the payment terms? Do I need to pay upfront?
Payment terms: 100% of the HK$6,800 fee is due upfront before we submit the NNC1 to the Companies Registry, because the government fees (HK$3,895 electronic / HK$4,070 paper) are paid directly to the CR and BR on your behalf and are non-refundable. We accept: Bank transfer (HSBC/Hang Seng), FPS, PayMe, Cash, and Credit Card. A formal receipt and engagement letter are issued before payment.
What are the fees for post-incorporation services (accounting, audit, tax filing)?
After incorporation, your company will need ongoing services. PAT CPA offers transparent pricing across the stack: Accounting / bookkeeping from HK$800/month; Audit from HK$3,000 (statutory audit by HKICPA-licensed CPA, see audit fee pricing); Company secretary HK$2,300/year (free in your first year as a new incorporation client); Registered address HK$2,800/year (free in your first year). Bundle pricing is available — ask your engagement manager.
