Why is the HK$300 STARTER plan so low? Can I choose it?

The HK$300/month STARTER plan is designed specifically for rental / property-holding companies with 1-2 units — these have very few transactions (up to about 25 per month), turnover below HK$2M and limited workload, so the fee is lower. If you are a normally trading SME, even with few transactions we recommend starting at the HK$500/month PROFESSIONAL plan, since it involves more operating expenses and tax handling. We assess your actual situation before recommending a plan.

Does the HK$500 PROFESSIONAL plan include tax filing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The HK$500/month PROFESSIONAL plan suits small businesses with turnover of HK$2.1M-5M and covers monthly bookkeeping, financial statements, tax planning and profits tax filing, with a dedicated accountant. Employee-related filings such as salaries tax and MPF can be arranged where needed; some per-headcount items are quoted separately and made clear before you sign.

What is the difference between the HK$800 and HK$2,000 monthly plans?

Accepted Answer

The main differences are transaction volume, turnover and service depth. The HK$800/month ADVANCED plan targets medium businesses with turnover of HK$5.1M-10M and adds advanced tax optimization and a quarterly business review. The HK$2,000/month ENTERPRISE plan targets large businesses with turnover of HK$10M-20M, with higher transaction volume (about 60-160 per month), more statement pages, strategic tax planning and a monthly business review. We match the plan to your actual transaction volume and turnover.

Does the fee include the annual audit?

The monthly accounting fee does not include the statutory audit. A Hong Kong limited company's annual audit must be performed independently by an HKICPA-licensed practising CPA and is a separate service. Question 5

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan after signing?

Yes. When business growth pushes your transaction volume or turnover beyond your current plan, we recommend upgrading to the appropriate tier; conversely you can adjust down in a quieter period or when the business contracts. At each annual review we reconcile transaction volume with you so you pay a fee that reflects the real workload, and we notify you before any change.

Question 6

How are add-on services (e.g. salaries tax, TVP/BUD audit) charged?

Accepted Answer

The monthly fee centres on core accounting (bookkeeping, financial statements, profits tax filing). Salaries tax and MPF filings are usually charged by headcount; TVP (Technology Voucher) and BUD Fund audits are standalone items quoted by project scope — see /en/pricing/tvp-bud-audit. All add-ons are itemised on the quotation and never hidden inside the monthly fee.

Question 7

Are there any hidden charges beyond the monthly fee?

No. We use transparent pricing — the monthly fee corresponds to the transaction volume, turnover band and services listed in your plan. If your actual transaction volume consistently exceeds the plan cap, or you need one-off special work (such as catching up prior-year books or handling an IRD enquiry), we quote in advance and proceed only with your approval. Nothing extra is buried in the monthly fee.

How do I start, and how long does it take to take over my previous books?

Accepted Answer

We begin with a free consultation to understand your business and the state of your existing books, then provide a quote and plan recommendation. Once confirmed, we collect bank statements, receipts and any existing ledgers, reconcile opening balances and take over. For a typical SME, handover setup is usually completed within a few working days of receiving the documents; catching up prior-year books depends on the backlog, which we assess and tell you about first.
